Vinyl? A. 36” (width) x 10ft (length) for Vertical, and 48” (width) x 60” (length) for Horizontal. (See Introduction for the definition of Vertical Blend and Horizontal Blend.) Q. Do you have printed color samples? A. Yes, we do. The Color Guide vol. 5 is available at $18 plus $5 shipping/handling. Due to the technical constraints, colors on the computer monitor appear similar but different in print. Some of the factors shift the color are the color mode (CMYK vs. RGB), the color setting of your computer screen, and graphics capabilities of your computer, etc.
Q. What is the life expectancy of the vinyl? A. The manufacturers of vinyl materials suggest that 7-year durability for Cast Vinyl, and 5-year durability for Calendered Vinyl. All colors are printed with screen-printing inks, which have an average of 5-year life expectancy. Fluorescent colors have 6-month outdoor durability. Due to different product usage and application/environmental conditions, life of the end products vary. Q. How can I prevent damages to the graduated colors? A. Graduated Vinyl is printed with screen-printing inks. Consequently alcohol, gasoline, and some solvents do harm the ink. Always test Graduated Vinyl before applying any solution. Additional protection may be achieved by laminating and clear over coating. Laminating Graduated Vinyl with the clear film protects the surface. For an additional 25% charge to the price of Graduated Vinyl, we offer clear coating over any Graduated Vinyl you purchase. If your job requires clear coating, specify when you order Graduated Vinyl. Q. Can I use Graduated Vinyl like the regular vinyl? A. Yes. Use it just like the regular vinyl. It is always a good idea to test the vinyl on difficult surfaces before you start the job. The vinyl may not adhere well to the rough, unclean, newly-painted, or treated surfaces with wax, silicone, and other chemical. Q. How do I store Graduated Vinyl? A. Store Graduated Vinyl standing up on its edge instead of laying it down. Store it at the room temperature. Avoid the direct sunlight. Q. What colors are available in translucent? A. All colors and sizes of Graduated Vinyl are available in translucent vinyl. Q. Do you have any gradation that runs from a specific color to the clear in stock? A. No, not in the stocked items. You may specify and order it as Custom Color Graduated Vinyl. Q. Can you print the solid-color custom vinyl? A. Yes, we can. See Custom Color.
